2022 will be remembered as the year we had no choice but to Keep Calm and Carry On. The war in Ukraine, turmoil in government, inflation, strikes and the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth ll meant that many of the great TV and radio events of 2022 were also featured on our news and current affairs programmes. Early in 2022, David Hallam was asked to contribute a weekly TV and Radio column to the Methodist Recorder, the world’s leading Methodist newspaper. As he watched, listened and wrote each week, he was aware that many of the programmes he was reviewing would be watched on various catch-up and streaming services for months and possibly even years to come. This book captures events as diverse as the Platinum Jubilee, the invasion of Ukraine, Wimbledon, Jamie Oliver’s “The Great Cookbook Challenge”, the Commonwealth Games, and of course the funeral of the Queen. A great year in the media with David Hallam!
