Matt Bird is the Founder and Chief Executive of PublishU, a company transforming the publishing world.
Despite being in remedial English classes at school and graduating, believing he was stupid because that’s what most of his teachers told him, he has authored over 20 books and writes for The Times newspaper.
In his twenties, Matt was diagnosed with dyslexia, and after wrestling with the stigma of that and his educational experience, he decided to transform his apparent disadvantage into his advantage.
Matt is now a professional speaker and book coach, enabling hundreds of people to write and publish their books to a global audience every year.
Authors he coaches often say, “I never thought I could write a book, let alone in 100 days. Now I have. I’m asking what else have I told myself I cannot do that I actually can.”
As part of Matt’s giving back to society, he runs a global non-profit foundation, NAYBA, supporting some of the most vulnerable people in communities.
He lives between Covent Garden at the heart of London’s West End and the historic city of Noto on the island of Sicily, Italy.
